BEIJING, July 16 Xinhua Hong Kong's Wen Wei Po, a Hong Kong Octopus Card has been exposed to \privacy and security issues.
OCL spokesman said the Personalised Octopus card only the main memory card name, date of birth and identity card number, and no telephone or address cardholders, even for security access to data will not be stored in card.
OCL spokesman said the Octopus card is divided into two sections, of which 1 is the bearer of Octopus card, the card did not record any personal data; the other 1 is a personal Octopus card,with hot summer days, the card will be the main memory card name, date of birth and identity card number, but starting in Q4 of this year, identity card number will not be stored in the card. The spokesman added that the building access security data is not stored on the card, is a building or estate management.
